Altitude Wins Two 2021 American Graphic Design Awards

News & Insights

We’re proud that two of our recent projects, Chromatic and 11611 San Vicente, have each been presented with a 2021 American Graphic Design Award™ from Graphic Design USA. For 58 years, GDUSA has sponsored competitions that spotlight areas of excellence and opportunity for creative professionals—honoring outstanding work of all kinds and across all media. This is the fourth time Altitude projects have received GDUSA awards, with projects recognized in 2016, 2017, and 2019.

Chromatic has received an award in the category of Branding and Identity Programs. Altitude worked closely with Chromatic’s co-founders to understand their shared values and vision to create a new model of lighting design practice focused on equity and inclusion. Following a thorough research and strategic planning process, our team developed the Chromatic name, brand narrative and visual identity.

11611 San Vicente has received an award in the Signage and Environmental Graphics category. When this multi-tenant office building in the Brentwood neighborhood of Los Angeles needed improvements to attract and retain tenants, Altitude delivered a sophisticated rebrand. New signage and graphics include 11611’s new visual identity and reflect the nearby Pacific coastal terrain, while a color palette of warm metals conveys a sense of hospitality.

We congratulate all of GDUSA’s winners, and are honored to be recognized among them.
