Salto Fine Foods is a Chicago-based start-up specializing in Italian-inspired gourmet products, and its new visual identity designed by Altitude Design Office has recently been awarded a 2025 American Graphic Design Award.

Centered around the company’s signature Italian salsa, moighia—a recipe passed down from the founder’s grandmother—Altitude developed the branding and identity to celebrate heritage, flavor, and modern craftsmanship. The brand’s logo and visual system feature a dramatic, fluid script that captures the energy and warmth of Italian tradition, giving the Salto wordmark a vintage yet lively character. Complemented by a custom color palette of red, green, and gold that reflects the company’s Italian roots, and a flexible, contemporary typeface, the identity extends seamlessly across product labeling, packaging, and merchandise. This cohesive design system positions Salto Fine Foods for both immediate impact and future growth in the specialty food market.
The American Graphic Design Awards are GDUSA’s annual showcase reflecting graphic design’s power to shape and service to commerce and culture across all forms of media. Winners are selected from a pool of over 6,000 entries each year.
