City of Hope Orange County Cancer Center Opens Its Doors

News & Insights

City of Hope, the world-renowned cancer research and treatment center, has recently opened City of Hope Lennar Foundation Cancer Center in Orange County, California. Delivering a comprehensive wayfinding and architectural signage program, Altitude Design Office is proud to be part of the design team that helped to transform an existing 4-story building into Orange County’s most advanced comprehensive cancer center, and City of Hope’s first outside of its main campus in Los Angeles, California.

The cancer center is the first component of a new $1 billion campus, which will ultimately include a new acute care cancer hospital on an adjacent 11-acre parcel of land, anticipated to open in 2025. Altitude’s system of architectural signage and wayfinding developed for the Los Angeles campus informed the approach for this new campus, which uses a minimal, hospitality-oriented design for patients, visitors and staff.
