City of Hope Featured in Healthcare Design Magazine

News & Insights

City of Hope Orange County Lennar Foundation Cancer Center, which opened last year in Irvine, California, has recently been featured in Healthcare Design Magazine.

With architecture by ZGF and wayfinding and architectural signage by Altitude, City of Hope Orange County Cancer Center is the result of the transformation of an existing 4-story office building—the unique challenges of which are described in the article—and the first component of an 11-acre campus that will also include a new acute care cancer hospital. Even more significant, though, is the cancer center’s patient-centric design and the sophisticated, hospitality-oriented approach that Healthcare Design Magazine describes as the foundation of this “calming space for healing and hope.” For example, Altitude’s signage program features rich wood and metallic accents that integrate with the architect’s warm and natural design palette and reflect the cancer center’s Orange County setting and surrounding landscape.

Altitude is proud to be part of the team that delivered this project to City of Hope, whose vision was clear from the start: to bring world-class cancer care closer to Orange County and better serve this growing segment of its patient population.
