At its new headquarters and laboratory in Fremont, California, Personalis sought to create a workplace that reflects both the scientific rigor and the human purpose behind its mission. As a biotechnology company focused on genomic testing and oncology, Personalis is dedicated to improving cancer screening and treatment through highly personalized research and development. The company’s new facility presented an opportunity to tell that story visually, celebrating innovation, recognizing the people behind the work, and reinforcing a culture grounded in precision and care.

Altitude worked directly with Personalis to develop an integrated brand program spanning the lobby, workspaces and amenity areas. Through environmental graphics, wall murals, exhibit installations, wayfinding signage, and visual features such as a lobby media wall and custom graphics, our team created a cohesive storytelling environment that builds on the company’s existing brand platform to reflect its values of passion, accuracy, structure, and balance. Inspirational figures in genomics and immune-oncology are highlighted alongside Personalis’ own achievements, while photo galleries recognize employees, board members, and scientific advisors who shape the firm’s work each day.

Dimensional signage, integrated digital displays, a world map illustrating the company’s growing international presence, and a timeline installation tracing milestones since Personalis’ 2011 founding provide flexible platforms for evolving content. Together, these elements create a workplace experience that honors the science, celebrates the people behind it, and reinforces the profound impact of this work on patients and families around the world.
