Television Academy Saban Media Center

An elegant design palette provides a modern platform to honor the partners who made the Television Academy’s new home possible, while elevating the experience of employees and guests who feel a sense of belonging to something big.

With a 600-seat theater, a conference center and offices, this new headquarters for the Television Academy and its Foundation serves as a platform for expanded programs including internships, scholarships, professional training and recognition programs. The high-tech and LEED-certified facility was built on the site of the Academy’s previous home but flips the entry 180 degrees in order to elevate the arrival experience, inspired by Hollywood’s red-carpet traditions.

Balancing the golden luster of the Academy’s brand with the building’s clean architectural palette, Altitude developed a memorable graphics program that speaks with clarity, honor and sophistication. The donors who contributed generously to the Academy’s nearly $40 million capital campaign – both corporations and individuals – are recognized in the signage and wayfinding program and with a lustrous donor wall that reminds Academy members and employees that they’re part of a meaningful community.
